This Sunday the Boatshed Markets welcomes to the stage:
Just Fiddling (10am to 11.15am)
Jordy Morcom (11.30am to 12.45pm)
Just Fiddling was created by Mike Hyder and Margaret Gunson sometime last century as a vehicle to create some enjoyment for their poor suffering classical violin students who apparently get tired of scales, arpeggios and technical studies.
Sold as a chance to dress-up while playing the violin, it is quite obviously much more than that. Rhythm, timing, playing in a group, learning fast fingers and bows all add to their musicality. But whatever you do, don’t tell them it’s good for them!
From 11.30am to 12.45pm, talented local musician Jordy Morcom is ready to entertain you in his debut performance at the Market.
Jordy is an all round musician who chooses to do most performances acoustically. Expect to be entertained by solid covers from Paul Kelly, The Beatles, Crowded House and many more.
Jordy is 16, and an emerging musician in Albany. His repertoire is full of energy, great vocals and familiar tunes.
Take time out to relax at the Boatshed Markets this Sunday
and enjoy the musical talents of – Just Fiddling and Jordy Morcom.
